Eclipse
Players help Dynamo U18s to Dallas Cup Win. March 23, 2008
Five Eclipse Soccer Club players were on the Dynamo U18 Academy
team that won the U19 bracket of the prestigious Dallas Cup on
Sunday March 23rd. Jorge Escobar, Jonathan Leon, Felipe Marin,
Andy McDaniel and Pat Wall all played a big part in the Dynamos
impressive win. In the final the Dynamo beat IMG Soccer Academy
1-0, reversing the result of last year's Dallas Cup when they
lost to IMG in the final on penalties. For the whole tournament
the Dynamo went 5-0-1 scoring 15 goals and only allowing 2. In
the semi-final against the Dallas Texans Red the score was 2-2
at the end of regulation and extra time. In the penalty shootout
Eclipse 91 Black goalkeeper, Pat Wall, stopped two penalties and
Eclipse 91 Black midfielder, Jorge Escobar, slotted home the
winning penalty. More details of the Dynamo U18 Academy Dallas
Cup games can be found on the Dynamo website at:

of early goals from fast breaks. However, Eclipse pressed hard
in the second half and clawed one of the goals back and nearly
got a second in the last few minutes. The final score was 3-1 to
