Eclipse 94 girls
help out at Houston Food Bank, September 28th, 2008
Shown are
members of the Eclipse 94 Black that participated in the Houston
Food Bank drive to provide relief to families and individuals
who are suffering as a result of hurricane Ike. The HFB is
supplying food and other necessities to their partner agencies
and to temporary shelters. The Eclipse girls volunteered
hours of their time right after their Premier Game on Sunday
September 28, 2008. Our girls helped with warehouse
operations and helped pack disaster relief boxes for individuals
and families whose lives were turned upside down by the
hurricane. Although this is a small effort relative to the
need, we do appreciate the time our players have given for this
cause…we are proud of you ladies! |

Albion Weekend Tournament, May 27, 2008
Eclipse
96 Red Girls closed out a strong year with a trip to the
championship finals of the Albion Memorial Weekend Tournament
(see photo). Placing first in its U12 Competitive Group B,
scoring 9 goals and allowing none, Eclipse led 1-0 during the
championship final, until a late PK tied the score sending it
into overtime. In overtime, Eclipse went ahead 2-1 but
unfortunately allowed Texas Heatwave to score on a late corner
kick to send the game to PK tiebreakers, and falling short.
This followed a very successful run in the Eastern District
President's Cup tournament: starting as the 12th seed, Red
defeated the 14th seed, the 5th seed (Heatwave's first team),
and the 2nd seed (Spindeltop's first team) to make it to the
semi-finals, before falling to the eventual Eastern District
champion, Space City's first team. |

Congratulations also to the Eclipse 98 Black U11 Boys who were also
finalists in the Albion Memorial Day Tournament.
