Olivia Collado is a former member of Eclipse 91 Black
KANSAS CITY, KS. – St. Edward's midfielder OLIVIA COLLADO was named to 2012 NSCAA/Continental Tire Women's DII All-America First-Team on Wednesday afternoon. Collado was named to second-team all-region last season.

Collado is one of only two seniors on the record-breaking 2012 women's soccer team. She played an important role in helping her team achieve an 18-3 record and a spot in the NCAA Regional.

Earlier this month Collado earned her second-straight conference player of the year award. She also earned a spot on the all-Heartland Conference first-team and helped the defense from her defensive midfield position that allowed only 0.57 goals-against average and produced 12 shutouts

Congratulations to the Eclipse 02 Black Girls

For winning the U11 Gold division this past weekend in San Antonio at the PUMA Showcase and Tournament. Taking top honors was the perfect ending to an exciting weekend for the girls participating in their first travel tournament. The girls have worked so hard over the past 4 months in the Select program. It's wonderful to watch it all come together for them......the quality they are bringing to the game at such a young age is exciting and rewarding!

HOUSTON – Former Eclipse U-91 Black Girls Soccer team member, Theresa Halle, has been named to the 2012 Capital One All-Academic Soccer District VI Team. As a member of the Eclipse U-91 Black Girls soccer team, Theresa was coached by Rafa Brazo, Director, Eclipse Girls Soccer program.

Halle, a senior midfielder at Northwestern State University in Natchitoches, LA was among four Southland Conference players and the only Division I soccer athlete in Louisiana and the only Houstonian selected for Division I First Teams by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).

The Capital One Academic All-District VI Team is comprised of nominees from NCAA Division I soccer teams from Arkansas, Iowa, Louisiana, Minnesota, Missouri, Mississippi, North Dakota, South Dakota and Wisconsin. Nominees must have at least a 3.3 cumulative GPA to make the College Sports Information Directors of America All-District ballot, which is voted upon by CoSIDA members throughout the district.

The Houston native and Clear Lake High School graduate is a member of the Louisiana Scholars

College and is majoring in Biology with an emphasis on Pre-Dentistry with a 3.93 GPA. She is set to graduate in May of 2013 and plans to attend dental school. Halle has received the Louisiana Scholars College Research Award every year since 2010, been named to the NSU President's list from 2009-present, and the Dean's list from 2010-2012.

Theresa is a member of the NSU Purple Jacket Honor Society, the Blue Key Honor Society, and Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society. She has been listed on the Southland Conference Academic Honor Roll every year since her freshman year in 2009.

On the field, Halle controlled much of the traffic in the midfield as she started in 15 games and took 31 shots. She was ranked third on the team. The senior recorded one assist to aid in the game-winning goal against Texas Southern University.

Congratulations to the 98 Black girls team
Great season so far for Eclipse Girls 98 Black team.  Started by winning the U16 bracket of Houston Labor Day Cup, have followed up by winning EDDOA div 1 championship with a record of 6 wins,2 ties and 1 loss, with a game still to play. 

The girls can now focus on playing for a spot in the State Classic League which begins with a playoff in the Spring season.

Eclipse 01G Black North wins it all over the Labor Day Weekend
Congratulations to the Eclipse 01 Black North girls a newly formed team for winning the Houston Labor Day Cup over the weekend in the gold bracket. The girls endured the heat and some rain but were able to put up 25 goals and only allowed 2 to go on a 5 game winning sweep. Look forward to what the girls do the rest of the season and we are really proud of them. Roster: Lauren, Nicole, Alena, Misha, Narally, Jessica, Lexi, Celeste, Amanda, Yang Chung, Caroline, and our guest keeper Lizzy.

Congratulations to the Eclipse 02 Girls Black team for winning the U11 Gold Division at the 2012 Houston Labor Day Tournament!!
The girls had an amazing weekend......in Bracket play they went 3-0 scoring 9 goals giving up 0! The toughest match came in the semi-finals

against their sister team Eclipse 02 White where the girls had to dig deep to pull out a close one too advance.  The Black 02 girls finished strong winning the finals 6-0!!.

Eclipse 96 Premier claim first Dynamo International Cup!
Eclipse Premier 96 have started their 2012-2013 season on a fantastic note, after their trip to Spain this past summer where the boys played at Real Madrid, the Spanish Federation, and participate in the 21st Edition of the Donosti Cup, in San Sebastian.

The 96's played extremely well winning 4 games and not allowing a goal, to get to the Final of the Dynamo Cup where they faced the Houston Dynamo Academy. The game was excellent ended 1-1 in regulation and the game had to be decided in PK's, it took 9 shooters before the First Dynamo Cup was claimed By Eclipse Premier 96

Eclipse Red Army Rumbles On
The 01 Red Girls picked up their first silverware of the season finishing runners up in the Klein Warm-up Cup.  Despite four games in intense heat the team grew stronger as the event went on thanks to superior conditioning built during rigorous summer training sessions.  The girls were able to put the bulge in the old onion bag sixteen times while conceding only three goals.  The Reds go marching on, on, on!

Several players from Eclipse 2001 Black graciously volunteered
their time participating in the Texas Dental Association Smiles on Wheels event on Saturday August 18 in Liberty, TX.  Smiles on Wheels is a mobile dental clinic that travels around the state providing free dental care to uninsured Texans.  The players included (left to right): Tatum Condrey, Serena Maher, Kylie Kilfoy, Anna Kate Coker, Claudia Swofford, Allie Schlom, and Gabby Lara.

11 of our Eclipse Select Girls got to participate in a special night with our Houston Dynamo.
The Dream Team gives the opportunity of a lifetime to kids by allowing

them to escort a member of the starting 11 out to midfield for the team introductions. The girls arrived at BBVA Compass stadium early and were lead down to the locker room and presented with their own Dynamo uniforms. Once they got ready they headed into the rally tunnel where they anxiously awaited the players. After a few words and pictures with the players they headed out onto the field for the team introductions!! The Dynamo won 3-0l!! Thank You Houston Dynamo!!

Eclipse Soccer Club U16 Boys Tour Europe
The team took their game to Madrid, Spain first. They spent their first three days in Madrid at the invitation of one of the world’s finest professional soccer clubs, the Real Madrid Club de Fútbol. Their first full day in Madrid was “Real Madrid Day” where they toured and trained at the Real Madrid Training Facility with one of the club’s coaches. They toured the locker rooms, media room, club café, and toured the professional team’s training facilities. They also spent the afternoon touring the Real Madrid’s famous Santiago Bernabéu Stadium. They spent two more days touring Madrid, including a view of the world’s second largest bull fighting ring and the historical city of Toledo, a former capital of the Spanish Empire and place of remarkable coexistence of Christian, Jewish and Muslim cultures.

After three days in central Spain, they traveled north to the Basque Country, to the beautiful city of San Sebastián, also known as Donostia (Basque). It is a city located in the north of Spain, on the coast of the Bay of Biscay and 13 miles away from the French border.

Most importantly, it is the site of the annual Donosti Cup, one of the most prestigious international youth soccer cups in world. The Eclipse boys were undefeated in three games as they competed against opponents from Spain, the Basque country, and Brazil to earn a spot in the winners bracket of the single elimination playoffs where they won their first game and then lost their second game to a strong Spanish club team.

The MLS / Futbolito / Dynamo hosted a 4x4 tournament on Father’s Day weekend
at the Houston Dynamo practice fields (HASP).  There were ~110 kids U8-U18 teams entered, most teams on the boys side.  Although our girls were primarily 9-10 years old, we entered into the U12 girls division and WON !!   The team won 2, lost 1, and then came back to compete in the FINAL against the team who had beaten them.  After a full day of soccer in the hot sun, our Eclipse U12 girls came with passion and hard work and won 3-1 in the final !!   Congratulations – we are very PROUD of you for representing your team and Eclipse!!

Eclipse 95 Black Boys and Memorial Day Cup
Eclipse 95 Black capped a great year of soccer by competing in the 2012 Memorial Day Cup in Houston. The team had a great showing reaching the final undefeated. The boys vowed to return next year.

Our U17 Prem And U12 white landed in Madrid today after a long day of traveling over the water. 
Players are extremely excited and ready to play. Both teams will train tomorrow with Atlético de Madrid coaches at Alcobendas complex. Saturday Boys will play at the Spanish National Teams facility, and will visit Real Madrid that afternoon. Sunday the Boys will travel to San Sebastian, considered as the capital of Europe, where they will play in the Donosti Cup!!

U11 Red Girls Storm to Division Championship

Eclipse Soccer Club hosted Duquesne University College ID Camp, on April 30th.
Coach Jake Ouimet and asst. coach Mark Sikora Had an eye full of some very talented players Monday night at Lost Creek Park.
Not just Eclipse players where able to showcase, but players from different clubs around the Houston area, as well as players from other cities around the State. Camp was very good and exciting for the registered players.  

It was a great event.  Plans are in the works to host 8-10 Universities for our next College ID Camp.
This event will be for both girls and boys.  ID Camp Date TBA

Eclipse U11 Red Girls Make Opponents Pay at Tax Time Tournament
The girls finished runners up in their first foray into the Gold bracket.  Buoyed by some very talented guests and a delicious between match cook out the girls went toe to toe with teams normally ranked three divisions above them. 
They rolled to the final where they lost to a single goal in extra time. 
The Red Army is now gearing up for its next contest in May in San Antonio where they are determined to go one better.

Congratulations U10 Solar Girls!!  
The girls were finalists in the "U10 Gold" division at the Texas United Easter Tournament played at Bear Creek Park. They advanced to the finals undefeated and continued this streak by dominating possession and shots on goal in the finals. They lead 1-0 right down to the last few minutes of the game when their opponent broke through and scored. The girls went directly into a shootout and lost a heart breaker 5-4. Remaining unbeaten through the end of 4 games with the amount of physicality that was placed on them was bitter sweet and rewarding, we are ALL very proud of their hard work and determination!

Congratulations to our Eclipse 98 Black!
For finishing as finalist in the TUFC Easter Invitational. Our young men played outstanding futbol to reach the final game to match up against the tough Texas Rush Premier team. Although our 98 Black team dominated game in all aspects, the Rush team was able to find the back of the net in the 20th minute of the first half. Our boys kept their composure and continued to play solid and physical futbol and were able to score a goal to equalize the game in the 25nd minute of the 2nd half. The game finished in regulation time as a draw and went straight to a penalty shootout. Our 98 Black team lost in the shootout, but won on the field with strong tatics and skills. Special thanks to Coach Matty and great job by the team. Good Luck in the 2012 National Championship Series.

Congratulations to Eclipse 96 Black
For taking first place in the State Classic League this past fall, challenged the Dallas Texans Houston 96 team for a spot in this fall's Premier League West, comprised of the best USYS soccer teams in Texas and Oklahoma.  The boys had to play two playoff matches, and defeated the Texans by a combined score of 6-2 over the two games. The team will be traveling to Spain this summer to play in the international Donosti Cup tournament in San Sebastian.

Congratulations to our Eclipse 00 Great White
A U12 girls team representing their Eclipse age group in the Space City Spring Fling tournament last weekend. The team made of players from our four U12 teams competed in the top bracket for U13's in the tournament. Despite giving up one goal first in three games, the girls showed resilience and the fight they had inside to overcome that obstacle. They beat Texas Rush Platinum in the final 3-1. Well done girls !!! Keep up the good work!!

Congratulations to the Eclipse 01 Red Boys
For winning the Silver Bracket of the Space City Spring Fling Tournament.  The team exemplified the meaning of never underestimate the heart of a champion.  After falling behind in every game, the team had amazing come from behind victories to qualify for the final.  The final was no different as the team fell behind early.  But despite depleting the bench because of injuries, and playing most of the 2nd half without substitutes, the team made another comeback to end regulation time in a tie.  To extend the suspense, the team secured the victory on the eighth penalty kick.  A special thanks to our guest players, our trainer Matty, and family members.

For winning 1st place in the U11 Gold Bracket of the Space City FC Spring Fling Tournament. The boys defeated a tough Texans 01 team by a score of 4-3 in the final match to capture the Championship Trophy. This was a special tournament win for our team as it was our last tournament with our teammate, who is leaving to Australia. Our boys fought hard to earn the Championship for him so he can take the trophy to Australia with him. Good luck to our teammate, Benji and to his family! Job well done by Team 01 Black!

Eclipse 98 Black Crowned Champions of the City of Las Vegas Mayor’s Cup Soccer Tournament
Congratulations to our Eclipse 98 Black team for winning the International Soccer Tournament in Las Vegas. The team won all five games, scoring 11 goals and only allowing 1. The team played great soccer throughout the tournament. The team beat Colorado Rapids 1-0 in the semifinal and earned a spot to win the final game against Colorado Rush 2-0. Maybe this time, WHAT HAPPENS IN VEGAS…DOESN’T STAY IN VEGAS…AND COMES BACK TO HOUSTON for a great Spring season.

Congratulations to our  Eclipse 95 Girls
For an outstanding performance this past weekend at the Lonestar showcase in Austin. The girls came out with a big shut-out weekend. They tied their first game against Sting, got a win on their second game against FC Dallas with a score of 1-0, and a second win against Sting’s first team with a score of 2-0. All 3 games were played under freezing and harsh conditions, but the girls never stopped competing. Way to go girls!!!

Eclipse Lunar Boys 03 won the top U-9 bracket at the Imperial Soccer Tournament in Sugar Land on the 11/12th of February.  The boys won all 5 games in freezing conditions against tough opponents.

Congratulations to '99 Eclipse Girls White who placed 2nd in U13 Presidents Bracket
After completing 4 games with 4 shutouts, the toll of the weekend  eventually took its course, with '99 Eclipse White losing in the championship match.  Eclipse began their weekend with a 2-0 win over '00 Space City, tallying a goal in each half. In their second game, Missouri City Blades also fell to Eclipse White 1-0, in a really fun & fast paced game to watch. Both games #3 & #4 (semi's), were 1-0 wins as well, taking down Challenge Dynamite '99 & Challenge '99/'00 combo in the semi finals, with a last minute goal!

Eclipse White faced '99 Challenge South in the championship match, playing their 3rd & final game of the day. After a 0-0 halftime score, Challenge broke Eclipse's shutout run, off a corner kick early in the second half. After a hard fought battle, a late second half goal secured the game for Challenge.

The girls should be proud of their efforts over the weekend, & look forward to an exciting & rewarding spring season! '99 Eclipse White is managed by Charles Beall & trained by Jennie Altherr.

Congratulations to the Eclipse U11 Red Girls
For winning the Presidents Division at the Eclipse Invitational Tournament The beautiful game was truly on show as the girls scored thirteen goals in their five game march to the championship.  Energized by a fiery team talk from Houston Dynamo head coach Dominic Kinnear the girls overcame multiple injuries, ill fitting shoes and  a nail biting shootout to seal an epic victory.  The Red Army marches on with a winning streak stretching over their last 3 tournaments. 
The team wishes to thank their guest players whose presence was very much appreciated!

Congratulation to our Eclipse 99 Black
for winning the National Bracket after beating Space City in penalty kicks in the final. In regulation time, the game finished in a tie. Eclipse let Space City tie 2-2 after having a 2-0 lead, but luck was on their side this time. CONGRATULATIONS !!

Congratulations to the Eclipse 01 White Boys!
For reaching the finals in the President’s Bracket of the Eclipse Invitational.  The boys finished first in their bracket with 2 shutout wins and a tie.  Great team play, ball control, and solid defense gave the boys another shutout victory in the semi-finals, 5-0.  The boys gave a heroic effort in a fast paced finals in front of a huge crowd for both teams.  Despite numerous attempts on goal, they were not able to find the late equalizer.  They fell 2-1 to Chivas. 
A special thanks to all the moms, dads, brothers, sisters, friends, and other Eclipse families who
lent their support during the tournament.  Great job boys!

Congratulations to the Eclipse 00 White Girls
For winning first place in the U12 Eclipse Invitational. The girls played four games to reach the finals. Thanks to our steadfast defenders (Bailey, Emily, Lauren, Lucy, Kristen) and our awesome goalkeeper MJ, the girls conceded only one goal throughout the whole tournament. In the final Isabella scored the only goal needed to win the Final. The girls scored a total seven goals in the tournament. Great Job Girls!
