Recreational Players: Registration Information & Season Timeline
REGISTRATION
Players must register each season (Fall and Spring) either online through our website (click RegisterΰPlayerΰRecreational) or at one of our designated walk-in sessions held at Lost Creek Park and Sienna Plantation. Payment must be submitted at time of registration. Acceptable credit cards for both online and walk-in registrations are American Express, Discovery, MasterCard or Visa. Walk-in fees can also be paid by cash, check or money order.
Open Online Registration (official dates will be posted on website):* · Fall - mid-May to mid-July · Spring - mid-December to mid-January
Walk-in Registration: dates to be announced. These in-person sessions also provide an opportunity for families to meet Eclipse board members and officers.
*Late Registration may be held at the club's discretion; however, a $10 late fee will apply, and team placement is not guaranteed during this period. Late registrants will be placed on a waiting list and rostered to teams on a space available basis. Any player we are unable to place will receive a full refund.
Proof of age documentation (see below) must be provided at the time of registration for all new players who were not registered Eclipse players in Fall 2007.
Proof of Age: The Registrar is required to validate the date of birth for all players playing for the first time with the club. Valid proof of age documents are government issued birth certificates and passports. Certificates issued by a hospital are NOT valid proof of age documents. Documentation may be presented to the Registrar by:
Recreational Registrar - Eclipse Soccer Club 4638 Riverstone Blvd., Ste. 200 Missouri City, TX 77459
A player WILL NOT be assigned to a team unless Eclipse has his/her proof of age on file.
Registration Fees - Fall 2008
Player Age: It is club policy to place children onto teams of their appropriate age groups. A players age group for the entire playing year (September/Fall through May/Spring) is determined by that child's age on July 31 preceding Fall season. To determine the age group for your player, please refer to RegisterΰAge Group Calculation on this website. Minimum participation age in the Eclipse Recreational Program is 4 years of age by July 31 preceding Fall season.
Uniforms: Registration fee covers the cost of the team jersey, shorts, and socks. Players will need to purchase shin guards, cleats, and an appropriately sized ball. During the week prior to the first game, team coaches will deliver uniforms to players/parents at practice. Uniform samples (for sizing) are available at our walk-in registrations and at Soccer 4 All. Players registered for Fall season should retain their uniforms if they intend to play in the Spring, as new uniforms are not issued to returning players.
Refunds: Players who voluntarily withdraw IN WRITING to the Registrar, PRIOR TO JULY 24 (Fall season) or JANUARY 31 (Spring season) will be eligible for a refund of registration fees paid, LESS a $10 processing fee. Refunds requested after the dates listed above (but prior to games beginning for the season) will receive a refund of registration fees paid, LESS actual expenses incurred for the player at the time the Registrar receives the refund request. No refunds are given after games begin.
Volunteer Registration: All individuals volunteering to serve as Coach, Assistant Coach, Team Mom/Dad, etc., for any team must register online as a volunteer (click RegisterΰVolunteer). During the registration process, volunteers 18 and older must agree to a background check conducted by the KidSafe program through South Texas Youth Soccer. If volunteer applications are approved, KidSafe badges are issued and must be displayed at practices and games.
