Eclipse Academy Cup Tournament
The 6th annual Eclipse Academy Cup Tournament will be hosted by Eclipse Soccer Club at Camp Sienna in Sienna Plantation, over the weekend of December 6 - 8, 2013.  The tournament is designed to provide a final fall season event for U8/U9/U10 Academy and Recreational teams.  We will feature high-caliber competition, quality fields and some of the top referees in the area.  Games will be played in Missouri City, Texas which is approximately twenty five miles southwest of downtown Houston.

This unrestricted event is sanctioned by USYSA, will include single age Boys and Girls flights for competitive U8 Traveling, U9/U10 Academy and Recreational teams.  Teams will be divided into three flights by age and gender; an Academy competitive flight (Cup) and an Academy average flight (Trophy) and an open recreational flight (Goblet).  A limited number of teams will be accepted, based on the competitive nature of the tournament.
 

Entry Requirements

  • Registration Fees:  U8 - $325 and U9/U10 - $375
  • Registration Deadline:  Midnight on Saturday November 16, 2013.  Entries received after the deadline will be accepted on a space available basis.

  • Teams will be notified of acceptance by e-mail on or before November 25, 2013.  Incomplete applications will be placed on a waiting list until payment is received.

  • Each team is guaranteed three (3) games.  Most four (4) team brackets will play three round robin (qualifying) games on Saturday and Sunday morning; a limited number of round robin games may be scheduled for Friday evening involving local teams.
  • Single elimination playoffs will begin Sunday morning with the finals scheduled for Sunday afternoon.

HOTELS

Special tournament rates have been arranged at some local area hotels, which are approximately 15 minutes from the fields:
 

TOURNAMENT CHECK-IN
One official from each team will be required to present the team’s final official roster, ID cards (player and coaches) and medical release forms for review at the Tournament Headquarters on Friday night from 6:00 to 9:00 pm or at least one hour prior to the first game.

ROSTERS AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS
Rosters will be limited to twelve (12) players with only three (3) guest players permitted on any team.

Players may play for only one team and may not play at a level below his/her current registration age.
An initial roster showing player names, birth dates and jersey numbers must accompany each
application. Changes to the team roster will be permitted up to check-in.

 
Medical Release Forms for each player are required and will be returned after check-in.
Current USYSA or similar Identification Cards are required for all players. Identification numbers
must be listed on the team’s final tournament roster, and will be checked at team check-in.

WITHDRAWLS
There will be no refunds for teams withdrawing from the tournament after the registration deadline. A non-refundable fee of 25% will apply for teams withdrawing prior to the entry deadline. Should a team not be bracketed a full refund will be issued.

RAINOUT POLICY
In case of a partial rainout, the games will be rescheduled if possible
In the event of a total rainout prior to the first game of the tournament, a partial refund equal to
team’s entry fee less an allowance for administrative costs incurred will be given.

No refunds will be given once tournament begins.
